Maníge Blackburn-Giles

Community Organizer

Maníge Blackburn-Giles (Muh-knee-zha) is a seasoned community organizer and advocate with over two decades of experience mobilizing communities, fostering coalitions, and leading outreach initiatives. She has worked extensively in education, community building, maternal and child health, and public health advocacy, centering lived experience in her approach. As the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Swing By Street Supply, she provided barrier-free resources to marginalized communities, and as the Director of National Outreach at Nurse-Family Partnership, she led engagement efforts across 43 states. Her expertise includes power mapping, strategic planning, and trauma-informed leadership, with a focus on amplifying the voices of those impacted by systemic inequities.

A graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver with a degree in Genders, Sexualities, and Human Services, Maníge is also a certified birth and legal doula, a Lean-trained leader, and a Lifespan Sexuality Educator. She holds multiple certifications in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and advanced leadership. A first-generation Coloradan and proud mother, she is deeply committed to building community power and driving meaningful change through relational organizing.
